This Privacy Policy explains how Phillip Key (“Indulgi,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Indulgi application and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

• Account information: your email address and password when you create an account.
• Creator information: if you apply to be a creator, your handle, biography, credentials or portfolio links, social links, and payout onboarding details handled by our payment processor.
• Content you create: meal plans, recipes, prices, reviews, and questions you post.
• Health and dietary information you choose to enter: for example, dietary preferences, allergens to avoid, and any profile figures used to estimate calorie goals.

1.2 Information collected automatically

• Usage data: how you interact with the Service, such as pages viewed and features used.
• Device and technical data: for example, browser type, device information, and general location inferred from your time zone or IP address for region-based features.
• Local storage: the Service stores some information (such as your session and certain preferences) in your browser or device to make the app work.

1.3 Information from third parties

Our payment and payout processor provides us with limited transaction information (such as whether a payment succeeded and payout status). We do not receive or store full payment-card numbers.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including your account, purchases, and creator payouts;
• To personalize features, such as filtering recipes by your dietary preferences and estimating calorie goals or grocery costs;
• To process transactions and remit creator earnings;
• To communicate with you about your account, purchases, and important changes;
• To maintain safety and security, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms;
• To comply with legal obligations, including tax reporting for creator earnings.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the Service:

• Service providers: Supabase (database, authentication, and hosting infrastructure), Stripe (payment processing and creator payouts), and public data providers that support features like regional grocery cost estimates. These parties process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies.
• Between users, as required by the marketplace: when you publish content as a creator, your handle and plan content are visible to buyers; when you post a public review or question, your display name and text are visible to others.
• For legal reasons: if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Indulgi and its users.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

4. Payment Information

Payments and creator payouts are handled by a third-party payment processor. Your full payment-card details are provided directly to that processor and are governed by its privacy policy. Indulgi does not store full card numbers on its own systems.

5. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

6. Your Choices and Rights

• Access and update: you can view and edit much of your account and profile information in the app.
• Deletion: you may request deletion of your account and associated personal information, subject to legal and tax retention requirements (for example, transaction records we must keep).
• Communications: you can opt out of non-essential communications.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, deletion, or portability). To exercise any right, contact us at support@indulgi.app.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including access controls and row-level security on our database — to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your location.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by other reasonable means, and update the “Last updated” date above.
