Chefs on Indulgi should only post photos, videos, captions and recipes they created or have permission to use. If you believe something on Indulgi copies your work without permission, tell us and we'll review it quickly.

1. Report stolen content

For a quick report, tap Report on the post or profile and choose “Stolen content / copyright.” For a formal notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), email copyright@indulgi.app or write to our designated agent below. Please include:

  • Your name, mailing address, phone number and email.
  • A description of your original work (and a link to it, if it's online).
  • The link to each Indulgi post or profile you're reporting.
  • This statement: “I have a good-faith belief that the use described above is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.”
  • This statement: “The information in this notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the owner, or authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of the copyright that is allegedly infringed.”
  • Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is fine).

2. What happens next

When we receive a complete notice we remove or hide the content and let the person who posted it know, including a copy of the notice (your contact details may be shared with them so they can respond). Knowingly false claims can make you liable for damages.

3. Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or you had permission, you can send a counter-notice to copyright@indulgi.app including:

  • Your name, mailing address, phone number and email.
  • The removed content and where it appeared before it was removed.
  • This statement: “Under penalty of perjury, I have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.”
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you're outside the United States, any judicial district in which Indulgi may be found), and that you'll accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

We forward the counter-notice to the person who filed the original notice. If they don't tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they've filed a court action, we may restore the content.

4. Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of people who repeatedly post content that infringes others' rights. An account that receives three valid copyright notices that aren't successfully countered is permanently closed, and we may close an account sooner for clear or deliberate copying.
